Master Programme in Waldorf Education

Åsa liked combining theory and practice

The Master Programme in Waldorf Education opened new ways into pedagogical research

The Master Programme in Waldorf Education was important for developing and broaden my former education; university studies in Pedagogy and a Waldorf class teacher Education. It met the need I had for deeper pedagogical studies and higher academic skills.

The Master Programme in Waldorf Education meant intense periods of studies in an interesting and different setting, at Vidaråsen. The place and the surroundings, just like the teachers and the group of students, became an important part of the studies. The Master Programme managed to combine theoretical, academic studies with practical research work like the academic writing process or how to make research interviews. During the modules we were given the opportunity to deepen our knowledge by listening to lectures, reading in groups and discussing it, but we also learnt the handicraft of research work, literature search and writing within a reference system.

I work as a teacher at the Waldorf University College, WLH, in Stockholm. The Master Programme in Waldorf Education opened new ways into pedagogical research and it provided an up-to-date insight into the academic and pedagogical context of Waldorf Education. The time spent studying and the writing of my master thesis has been of great importance to the work I do as a teacher educator. For that I am very thankful.
